We are seeking small business owners and
vendors for our contemporary retail
marketplace in New Bern, NC!
We have long seen that New Bern was in need of an upscale marketplace where small business owners, artisans, craftsmen, and collectors who sell their goods primarily on Facebook, websites, and at local vendor fairs can display and sell their goods for much less overhead than is typically associated with a brick and mortar retail store. We strive to be just that place.
Our retail store is 30,000 sq. ft., with just over 25,000 sq. ft. of open space. We have delineated vendor booths throughout this space. Monthly rent is based on the size and location of each booth, ranging from $0.95/sq.ft/month for space towards the back of the store, to $1.75/sq. ft/month for prime front/central space. Floor booth sizes generally range from 5' x 10' (50 sq. ft.) to 15' x 10' (150 sq. ft.). We also have single locked or unlocked showcases for rent ranging from $50-150/month depending on their size and location in the store. We are happy to work with you on your space needs if you don't fit inside our pre-set "box," so-to-speak; just contact Sarah or Justin to discuss your options. We will do anything we can to make our space truly work for you!
In addition to monthly rent as outlined above, we charge a 10% commission on all sales, which covers credit card processor fees, shopping bags and packing materials, and our store cashier/labor. Each vendor is responsible for keeping his/her space organized, tagged, and stocked with quality new, relevant merchandise or approved vintage, antique, & gathered goods. An itemized inventory of your sold goods is provided to each vendor, along with sales proceeds (minus commission), after the end of each month. We will have labor available to help move heavy/large items and boxes into your booth at least one day per week.
